When we talk about beauty mirrors loaded with some of the best features, there’s no doubt the iHome Reflect LED Vanity Mirror With Bluetooth Audio will make its way into the conversation. Offering some of the greatest tools you could ask for in a lighted mirror, it’s no surprise that iHome has risen so much in popularity.
For those who are serious about getting their look right, working with a vanity mirror with lights is absolutely essential. To take it a step further, we look for mirrors that can simulate different environments as we’re not always walking around under LED lights, right?
The iHome Reflect LED Vanity Mirror With Bluetooth Audio is definitely a more luxurious mirror, but once you hear about what it offers, you may not think the higher price point is all that bad! So let’s dive into what we love about it!
What I Love About It
The first thing that I really appreciate about the iHome Reflect LED Vanity Mirror With Bluetooth Audio is their range of lighting options. For me, it’s never enough to just have lights on your mirror. No. I need at least a few settings to make sure my look is on point and ready for the day ahead.
The high and low settings on the iHome Reflect can emulate natural lighting so that you can make sure your makeup looks good in any environment. At it’s highest setting, the bright LEDs are powerful enough to make a dark basement look like daytime!
The next feature worth commenting on is the USB Charging port.
If you’ve never had a mirror that can charge your phone, you’re missing out! The convenience of getting that full charge while doing your makeup in the morning is great, especially for people like myself that don’t charge overnight.
The last feature worth commenting on is really handy, though some may find it excessive, it’s the absolute highlight of this LED vanity mirror. This feature, is, of course, the Bluetooth audio capabilities. I just previously mentioned the convenience of charging while doing your makeup, but the iHome Reflect LED Vanity Mirror With Bluetooth Audio also allows you to take phone calls and listen to music!
The buttons built-in to the mirror are fully integrated, allowing you to answer and decline phone calls at the touch of a button, as well as adjust the output volume! You may also play music through the speakers if you desire, though I personally use my own speaker. This feature is incredibly handy, however, and I love being able to take calls while doing my makeup without using my speaker phone!
What I Don’t Love About It
As much as I love this mirror, it has it’s faults, mainly related to the quality of materials it’s built with. A theme you may notice with mirrors around this price that have integrated electronics is that they’re a bit more flimsy than say a plain lighted $30 beauty mirror that offers no extra features.
The iHome Reflect LED Vanity Mirror With Bluetooth Audio is made with plastic, and so it not only feels cheap, but looks it. This was the hardest part for me before making my purchase a while back, but I wouldn’t say it’s ruined the experience for me at all. It may not feel as durable as a metal mirror, but I never had an issue with damage.
The other factor to consider is the quality of the speakers. I’m sure nobody is buying this to replace their home stereo or anything, but it’s a factor worth thinking about- the speakers are not amazing. The primary reason for this is that the speakers are mainly for taking phone calls, which doesn’t require anything fancy. I’m still able to hear the person on the other end with perfect clarity like I would from my phone.
Overall Thoughts On The iHome Reflect LED Vanity Mirror With Bluetooth Audio
The iHome Reflect LED Vanity Mirror With Bluetooth Audio has its pros and cons, but overall makes for an amazing beauty mirror. The full range of lighting modes allows us to emulate natural lighting, while the mirror itself is distortion-free. The USB Charging & Bluetooth audio are incredibly nice to have features and by far the greatest highlights of this mirror.
The material may not be the greatest, and the speakers might not be the most well-rounded, but I personally don’t find those to be deal breakers.
I’ve used this mirror for a while before upgrading to the Impressions Vanity Touch Pro, and still hold a lot of fond memories with it. I would definitely recommend this mirror to anyone looking for a vanity mirror with lights that comes packed with great features under $100.
