The Conair Reflections is one of the hottest ring light makeup mirrors on the market today thanks to the elegant design, high-quality electronics, and rich features included. When it comes to finding the perfect tabletop vanity mirror with lights, this is one of the first options that come to mind.
One of the most essential features I look for in my own tabletop mirrors is dual-sided with standard viewing and magnification. Paired with lighting features, you have the basic necessities that you’ll need for doing your makeup in the morning.
However, the Conair Reflections is slightly more expensive than some of the other options on the market. Today we’re going to dive into what we love and don’t love about this mirror so we can find out why!
What We Love About It
First and foremost, the Conair Reflections uses a 3-way touch control for for light adjustment. This allows us to change the intensity of our lights with the options of low, medium, and high. The quality of the 30W incandescent bulb is perfect, giving off great illumination.
The coloring of the light leans towards the warm side, so if that’s what you’re looking for, then you’re in luck!
The mirror is also dual-sided, as we mentioned before. This is something I absolutely love, ranking high on my list of “must-haves”. The ability to work in standard viewing and then flip the mirror to get up close and personal is really convenient. I use this all the time when doing my face makeup so that I can see my eyes close up. It’s much more convenient for me than to use a handheld mirror.
They also offer a few options for their mirrors so that you don’t have to settle on one magnification strength. My personal preference is between 7x and 10x, as we’ve discussed previously in our article on the best magnifying mirrors.
Lastly, the glass itself is of high quality. With the Conair, you don’t need to worry about your mirror getting dirty and difficult to look at. They use a fog-free and glare-free glass, guaranteeing you a solid & clear reflection.
There are a lot of great features in this mirror, making it well worth the cost. There may not be a lot of fancy extras like we see with some more high-tech vanity mirrors, but for what it is, it’s great.
What We Don’t Love About It
One major flaw with this mirror is that the lights are incredibly warm. For me, if you’re not going to offer multiple settings, it’s probably best to make the lights cool. Conair does the opposite with this mirror, and for some people, that’s actually perfect. For me, however, it’s not and I wish they would’ve at least offered the ability to change that.
The other frustrating part is that the sensor can be a bit sensitive. I’ve accidentally triggered a brightness change many times when I didn’t want to. It didn’t take long to get used to it, however, and I do my best to avoid touching the base.
Overall Thoughts About The Conair Reflections
Overall, the Conair Reflections is a fantastic mirror, but it has its. The dual-sided capabilities are such an important feature, and the quality is incredible. It’s not perfect, but very few mirrors are. For something under $100, it’s a really good deal compared to its competitors.
The part that really stings for me is the warmth of the light, I really really wish they gave us two options. I like bright white lights a lot of the time, and ideally the option to compare my look in both settings. So if that’s a deal-breaker for you, this mirror may be worth skipping.
For everyone else, it’s such a great mirror.
